GETTING HERE
Flights
If you're flying from Australia, the easiest option is to book your international flight from Sydney to Johannesburg first. You can hold off on booking your domestic flight to Cape Town until closer to the event — we’ll give you a nudge when the timing is right! When you're ready, you’ll be flying from O.R. Tambo (JNB) to Cape Town International Airport (CPT). It’s a quick 2-hour flight, with plenty of airline options — FlySafair and Airlink are great low-cost choices.
For the long-haul flight, Qantas offers a direct 13-hour flight from Sydney to Johannesburg, currently around $1900 return. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, Singapore Airlines has two-stop flights (around 24 hours total travel time) to Cape Town, usually priced between $1400–$1700 return.

Flight Option for the Wedding – Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines currently has a great option for travel to Cape Town, priced at $1,779. The itinerary includes two stopovers, with the following schedule:

-
Departure: Leave Sydney on 12 February at 7:10 PM, arriving in Cape Town at 9:25 AM on 14 February.
-
Return: Depart Cape Town on 27 February at 10:40 AM, arriving back in Sydney at 5:55 PM on 28 February.

This is a reliable and comfortable choice with flights straight to Cape Town.
Hens & BUCKS
We don’t have the full plan locked in just yet, but here’s what we’re thinking:

-
Hens: January, in Australia
-
Bucks: February, in South Africa
Consider this a big TBA — we’re still finalising the details, but we’d love to get a rough idea of numbers so we can start planning accordingly! If you’re keen to join the fun, please RSVP below so we can plan accordingly!

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

23 - 27 February
For those keen on a Kruger adventure, you’ll need to hire a car in Johannesburg and drive out to the park — it’s about a 4–5 hour drive, and having a car gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace (and spot some wildlife along the way!). There is the option to fly in, but most of us are leaning towards the road trip vibe. Accommodation is still TBA, but we’d love to get a sense of numbers so we can start planning based on group size. If you're interested in joining the Kruger trip, please let us know in your RSVP!
